Lobby & Curbside Services

Lobby and Curbside Services

The safety of our patrons and staff remains of highest importance for the library. With that in mind, we are excited to begin to offer the following services while following the recommended safety guidelines.

Returning Materials

The library is accepting returns of all library materials at our Marysville location. Returns are accepted during the Lobby Service hours in the large boxes located in our entrance nearest to Partners Park.  Since all library materials will be isolated upon their return before being checked-in, please understand that when you return materials, they will still appear on your account as this process occurs. However, the library no longer charges fines for late materials so no fines will be assessed.

Lobby Service & Curbside Pickup hours will be:

Monday- Thursday 9 am – 8 pm

Friday-Saturday 9 am-5 pm

Lobby Service Information

We have been working hard to create a safe environment for our community and staff members. Masks are REQUIRED to enter the library. Curbside service is still available for those who cannot wear a mask.  In order to maintain social distancing, we will only be allowing 10 patrons at a time to enter the building. Browsing and computer time will be limited to 15 minutes.

Below are a few examples of the additional measures we have taken to help ensure the well-being of our community:

  • Installed Plexiglas barriers at public service desks
  • Masks are worn by all staff
  • Created social distancing signs to help guide you through the library
  • Increased the frequency of our cleaning schedule
  • Quarantining all items
  • Providing hand sanitizer for patrons and staff

We will continue to respond to changes and recommendations from our local health department and the CDC.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please continue to take advantage of these opportunities as we move forward with our phased reopening. Look for online programs on the library’s Facebook page. Borrow a book, comic book, or movie from Hoopla. Checkout eBooks and eAudio titles on Libby. The library has a wide range of services you can access from home, all found on our Digital Library webpage. If you do not have a library card, you can sign up for one to access digital services.

Safety Precautions

Please know the safety for our staff and patrons is of the utmost importance to the Library. In order to comply with state guidelines for businesses, all library employees are required to wear cloth masks. All library materials that are returned from patrons are isolated for at least a week before they are handled by staff. We have hand sanitizer readily available at all workstations and, of course, are encouraging frequent hand washing. We are frequently cleaning ‘high touch’ surfaces like door handles, phones, and light switches and continuing to routinely clean and sanitize our library locations. We have developed a ‘no contact’ method for delivering library materials through curbside pickup, ensuring safety of both staff and patrons. We appreciate all of the concern and support our customers have given to library staff during this difficult time.
