The safety of our patrons and staff remains of highest importance for the library. With that in mind, we are excited to begin to offer the following services while following the recommended safety guidelines.
Beginning May 12, the Library is accepting returns of all library materials. Patrons are encouraged to return library materials at this time. Since all library materials will be isolated for at least a week upon their return before being checked-in, please understand that when you return materials, they will still appear on your account as this process occurs. However, the Library no longer charges fines for late materials so no fines will be assessed.
Curbside Pickup Begins May 27
On May 27, the Library will begin contactless curbside pickup of library materials at the Marysville location. Customers will be able to request items by phone, email, or through the Library’s online catalog. Because we will not have delivery between our consortium libraries, patrons will be limited to items that are available at the Marysville library. We will be operating this curbside pickup model of service under limited hours. Staff will be available in our library buildings to take requests and answer questions by phone during those hours. Please wait until you have been contacted by a staff member scheduling your pick up before coming to the library.
Curbside Pickup hours will be Tuesday- Saturday 12 pm – 4 pm

Digital Resources and Online Programming
During the COVID-19 crisis, the Marysville Public Library has been working diligently to provide online programs and digital resources to our customers. Please continue to take advantage of these opportunities as we move forward with our phased reopening. Look for online programs on the library’s Facebook page. Borrow a book, comic book, or movie from Hoopla. Checkout eBooks and eAudio titles on Libby. The library has a wide range of services you can access from home, all found on our Digital Library webpage. If you do not have a library card, you can sign up for one to access digital services.
Please know the safety for our staff and patrons is of the utmost importance to the Library. In order to comply with state guidelines for businesses, all library employees are required to wear cloth masks. All library materials that are returned from patrons are isolated for at least a week before they are handled by staff. We have hand sanitizer readily available at all workstations and, of course, are encouraging frequent hand washing. We are frequently cleaning ‘high touch’ surfaces like door handles, phones, and light switches and continuing to routinely clean and sanitize our library locations. We have developed a ‘no contact’ method for delivering library materials through curbside pickup, ensuring safety of both staff and patrons. When we reopen our building to the public, we will have plexiglass counter guards in place. We appreciate all of the concern and support our customers have given to library staff during this difficult time.
