Our Story & History
Marysville Public Library has been serving the community for over 150 years, evolving alongside the people it serves.

The Early Years
In 1867, the library was founded by the Marysville Literary and Library Association, serving residents until 1895 when it closed due to funding issues.

Growth of the Raymond Branch
In 1923, the Raymond Public Library was created by the Country Culture Club. By 1964, the Raymond Library became part of the Marysville Public Library system.

A Modern Library System
In 1988, the Main Library moved to its current location at 231 South Plum Street, expanding collections and services.

Our Board
Our Board of Trustees meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the Marysville Public Library unless otherwise announced, and the public is always welcome to attend.
