Savings and discounts for Ohio residents 60 and up.

The Golden Buckeye Card offers special savings at thousands of businesses across Ohio. Most residents receive their card automatically, but if you need to apply in person, the library is here to help.

Who Gets a Card Automatically?

If you’re an Ohio resident with a current Ohio driver’s license or State ID, you’ll receive your Golden Buckeye Card in the mail the month you turn 60.

Who Needs to Apply?

You may need to apply at the library if:

  • You moved to Ohio after turning 60
  • You do not have a State ID
  • You are eligible due to a qualifying disability

How to Apply

To apply, bring your proof of eligibility to the Adult Services Desk. A staff member will help you complete your application on-site.

Please note:

  • Applications cannot be completed online or at home.
  • The library does not keep copies of completed forms.
